Children and youth age 19 or younger are eligible for one OHIP-covered major eye exam every 12 months. Seniors age 65 or older without an eligible eye-related medical condition are generally eligible once every 18 months; seniors with an eligible medical condition may qualify every 12 months. Adults age 20 to 64 with certain eligible medical conditions may also qualify for an OHIP-covered exam every 12 months. Coverage depends on individual eligibility.
